2018 Added Rules and Features that where due to be in the original league set up
Contract Extensions:
Every GM can offer an EXTENSION CONTRACT to ONE player each season who has at least ONE YEAR left on their contract. The extension contract may add up to 3 YEARS on a player’s current contract and will cost 150% PER YEAR of the players HIGHEST PAID YEAR on their REMAINING contract. A player may not ever exceed a 6 YEAR CONTRACT. At no point in time can a player on a RFA be eligible for a contract extension.. UFA contract's ONLY.. Due to starting League late this season, we will be allowed 1 contract extension for the 2017 season & then one for 2018 season. This contract Extension will only be allowed for a maximum of three years
Contract option A: 150% or 5M for these positions (QB,RB,WR,TE,LB) --- (10M for 2nd extension)
Contract option B: 150% or 4M for these positions (DE,K,S) --- (8M for 2nd extension)
Contract option C: 150% or 3M for these positions (DT,CB) ---(6M for second extension)
**Example: QB A: makes 1M, extending contract will cost 5M per year due to 150% not exceeding $5M per..
**Example 2: QB B: makes 10M extending contract @ 150% his new contract would be 10/15/15/15/UFA
*Please note when updating 2018 roster under your team to specify which player you are Re-signing from 2017 season and 2018 season..
Contract Restructure
One contract restructure per year of a max of 2M per contract for contracts 8M and over in any given year and 1M for contracts 4M and over in any given year, plus a 50% cap hit for any restructured contract. You can move this money any way you want, you can back load to clear up cap space for current year, or you can front load to clear up space for future years.
For example:
Original Contract:Darrelle Revis (CB-TB) 16/16/16/16/16/UFA
After Restructure:Darrelle Revis 14/16/16/16/18/UFA
The Bills cleared 2M in cap space by reorganizing 2M from the current year and placing it on the last year of the contract.
But remember, if you use a contract restructure, you will now be on the hook for 50% of the contract instead of the standard 30%.
You can use one contract restructure per contract. Once a contract restructure has been used on a player, that player's contract cannot be restructured again until a brand new contract has been negotiated for that player. In other words, either the contract needs to expire first and then resigned, or a players contract has to be waived or bought-out first and then resigned.
You CANNOT Restructure a contract & then Extend a contract after it is Restructured.. You CAN Extend a contract first & then Restructure that contract.. NO OTHER OPTION COMBO’S can be used..

Restricted Free Agents are free agents who have been in the league for 3 years or LESS. Any player signed with RFA status must be in his 3rd year or less on the last year of the contract..
