Fantrax will have players designated DE ot DT or both in some cases, All separating them does is it gives DT more meaning, if they're lumped in with DE they tend to become fairly valueless and not worth much more than basic salary. Me paying up to 5 M (Buckner) for someone scoring less than the worst kicker would be a waste of resources

Agree with the general consensus on this. However, we need to decide this asap. I'm not paying an expensive DT for him to be out scored by ever DE in the league. We have to know this before rosters lock.

Consider this In my other dynasty league the scoring D lineup is 2 DE 2 DT 2 OLB 1 ILB\MLB 2 CB 2 S 1 Utill
This matches a starting D on the field in a game with half the teams playing a 3\4 defense MLB designated players are scarcer, so a ILB is an option Just a thought

Can't differentiate Linebackers on fantrax as far as I can see, we'd have to manually check every line up before ko to see if valid line up is set

If we were to split it, LB and DO would have an even amount, and there would be u til to make the differe ce between 3-4 and 4-3

Just curious but is there any concern about splitting up DL and DB and then having our roster max too low? 40 is aful low when you have to carry more players

Agreed Blaine, 40 man rosters are low when your both trying to compete and protect your young players.

The 1000000000 cap hurts roster depth more

I think the cap number is fine, it is the roster max that is a little low

The way the league was started was to give every GM a unique scenario to deal with, a challenge to test managerial skills. It was never meant to field a complete line-up, as many GM's who protected 20M LB's and 12M CB's will soon find out. The 100M cap is perfect, and as a league market based value contracts will develop as the league matures from its infancy up to adulthood in a few short years. The biggest mistake a GM can make at the moment is believing is or she has to field a team ASAP. Its a process, and the more skilled GM's will figure out what their situation is and adapt quickly, while others will have to go through some growing pains.

Do we just use the 2017 cap hit, or use the cap hit by year? Would be a lot simpler just to use 2017 since we don't escalate Rookie or UFA deals.
